Stringed Instrument Repair and Luthiery

Welcome to my website. In this site you will find examples of my work past and present. I have 30-plus years of experience in the making and restoration of stringed instruments as well as working to maintain and repair instruments including guitar, (acoustic and electric,) violins, violas, cellos, basses, double basses, all the mandolin family, domras, balalaikas and banjos; just about any instrument with strings. I also re-hair bows of any size.

I am currently building acoustic guitars and restoring a German flat-back double bass made circa 1890's. (Check back soon to see the photos as I progress.)

A luthier (/ˈluːtiər/ LOO-ti-ər) is someone who makes or repairs lutes and other string instruments. The term is used interchangeably with any term that refers to a specific, or specialty type of stringed instrument, such as violin maker, guitar maker, lute maker, etc.
